SoDash won at the 2014 UK Rail Industry Awards!
Last night we polished our shoes, fixed our hair and put on our most flamboyant ball gown to attend the 2014 UK Rail Industry Awards in London where we were VICTORIOUS in the social media category.
“Winning this award is great recognition for the excellent work we have done and are still doing. We will be continuing to close the gap between rail operators and their customers allowing them to talk with one another with greater understanding and enabling social customer service excellence.” – Dr Daniel Winterstein – Chief Technical Officer at SoDash.
“It’s great to win this award in a very competitive category, much of the success must go down to the clients we have within the rail industry. SoDash has been continually advancing over the past 2 years and gaining recognition of the way we have utilised social media to help improve customers experience is a proud achievement for the whole company.” – Tim Spring – Commercial Manager at SoDash.
The awards ceremony was a black tie event hosted by comedian Josh Widdecombe whose dry humour and quick wit was a hit with the audience.
“The awards ceremony was great fun, well organised and brilliantly hosted by Josh Widdicombe. We had a really good time and are already looking forward to next year!” – Jessica Wong – Head of Account Management.
Champagne was quaffed, canapés nibbled and a 3-course-meal was devoured and our award even made in back to the office in one piece!
The Social Media award comes just over a week after Virgin Trains used SoDash to announce to customers not to travel due to the extreme weather. Their tweet sparked hoax rumours and was retweeted over 2,000 times. SoDash enabled them to provide customers with real time information and in-turn, provided Virgin Trains with actionable, real-time data – bridging the gap between social media and customer service.
